Court Pick
Looks like Sonia Sotomayor is the SCOTUS nom. Because she has a vagina. At least, that’s why they tell me should be the pick.
About all I can find on her regarding the second amendment was that she was a judge in Maloney v. Cuomo, which is the nunchaku case in NY where the court said the second amendment doesn’t apply to the states.
Update: In addition to the vagina, she’s also got brown skin. Apparently, these are two important traits in a justice. Because that’s what people are focusing on.

While I would personally disagree with the ruling in Maloney v Cuomo, I don’t find the reasoning offensive. “We have a precedent. If the SCOTUS wants to overturn it, then they should do so. Until then, we’re bound by it.”
Whodathunk it would have been the 9th Circuit that leads the charge in deviating from that precedent?

I’m not so sure about the vagina issue.
She kind of reminds me of Janet Reno (sexually ambiguous).
Nonetheless, Obama has picked the worst possible candidate.
This is truly awful if you value the Constitution.

I’ve got more on the vagina issue. I’ve been collecting key quotes and demands to put together a post on it.

I just got off scotusblog… I don’t see anything particularly offensive about her previous opinions. Care to enlighten us with some facts? Maybe I’m missing something.

If the 2nd Amendment doesn’t apply to the States”(a free state), that means it only applies to the Federal Gov’t and restricts it to only “such part of the part of the militia” that it employees (Article I, Section 9).
That is, Federal gun laws ONLY apply to those employed by the Federal Gov’t and the States and the people are free from those laws. Sounds OK to me.
Somehow, I don’t expect this SCOTUS appt. to think her statement cuts both ways.

I wonder how long it will take all of us talking to our co-workers about the blatant racism and sexism in our government, before it stops being politically correct to be racist and sexist?
Oh that makes me a sexist racist doesn’t it? Oops. . .

Can we start referring to her as the Vajustice?
