Park Bill Tension
The house sponsor recalled the bill. Everybody said some sort of deal had been made. Bredesen denied such a deal, which is odd because everyone else said there was one. The senate opted not to play along and did not agree to withdraw the bill. Looks like a veto is coming and it will be overridden. John Harris summarized the shenanigans here.

I expect a veto today.

I think Bredesen has his eye on a federal job and can’t get one unless he totes the anti-gun platform OOOORRRRR he was alway anti-gun and had to pretend to be pro-gun to get elected and thought he’d be safe because Nafieh wouldn’t let any pro gun legislation get to him.

Bredesen strongly supported Barack Obama in 2008.
I am not the least bit surprised by his veto of Second Amendment legislation.

Next thing you know, he’ll call for an income tax.

Rustmeister: surely he’s smarter than that. Nothing gets people to dust off the pitchforks faster than talk of a state income tax.
