End the drug war and release the prisoners of war
Good news:
The Obama administration will not seek to arrest medical marijuana users and suppliers as long as they conform to state laws, under new policy guidelines to be sent to federal prosecutors Monday. Two Justice Department officials described the new policy to The Associated Press, saying prosecutors will be told it is not a good use of their time to arrest people who use or provide medical marijuana in strict compliance with state laws
Good for Obama. Via Phelps, who says: I’ll start to believe it when they stop raiding dispensaries.

We will soon be adding this to the list of things Obama talks about but doesn’t pursue.

Actually, the same day BO announced this, the LA DA in CA decided to bust all the pot shops. If it’s not one jackass, it’s another.

Now all we need to do is to get a state to legalize full auto and noise suppressors. Then Obie will tell the Feds to stop prosecuting people that are violating the Federal Laws, as long as they are obeying state laws.
Hmmm, I wonder if we can use that Montana law…
I am SO excited!!

I wouldn’t call it a good thing. It’s just selective enforcement of the law. The only thing that will fix the problem is to repeal the law or change it to actually address the level of the “offense.”
The POTUS shouldn’t have a choice in what laws he enforces. That’s not his job.

California needs to just legalize pot.
If they collected taxes on it, the tax collections would be huge. I think they ought to just go for it.
What’s wrong with the other states? How comes there are only 14 that allow medicinal marajuana?
