Here comes AWB 2.0!
Seriously though, WTF is wrong with suicidal people. Just kill your damn self. Leave everyone else alone.

Short of limiting capacity of magazines (and from the reports at Ft. Hood, the guy would have HAD to change mags unless he had some kind of wacky snail mag) I can’t see how an AWB that didn’t just up and ban semi-auto weapons would affect either incident. Not that I expect that to stop anyone…

The fort hood shooter used two pistols. New York reload.
No wacky snail mags needed.

51 people killed or wounded would imply extra magazines rather than new york reload for a weapon with a 20-round factory magazine. (Looked it up). Even assuming the 30-round extended magazines that’s pretty unlikey, esp since I saw at least one news piece that suggested some of the victims were hit twice.

There was even one in Japan which I posted about today. They do indeed seem to come in groups, but why?

News coverage?

Ishall try to be careful here since in the past I have been castigated by other contributers for religious remarks, BUT, it seems to me that most shooting/murders against our military are committed by fanatical muslims (as was this one) as often as they are with guns (or grenades, as happened in a fragging incident early in the Iraq conflict). Sooooo, what type of restrictions should we place on THEM? OUCH!

It seems like every time a cluster of shootings happens, there’s some POS legislation about to be voted on. Watch and see – there will be a rider on the health care bill with AWB 2.0 added as ‘must pass’ legislation.
