From the longer shots when the camera was by the target, accuracy seemsed to be rathe rlow. Though the framerate was such that the bolt was only visible in one or 2 frames per shot
Cyclic rate seems a little geriatric. I suggest powering it up full auto with blank cartridges and a piston to cock the bow. Can’t see how that would be illegal, since the force of the cartridge would only serve to cock the bow, so the projectile would still be launched by the bow, not expanding gas from the cartridge. Bassackwards way to use cartridges though.
“accuracy seems to be rather low.”
The Chinese had lever action crossbows that, while they weren’t “full-auto”, were magazine-fed self-loaders, and were as good as full-auto, from the POV of the targets, i.e., enemy troops. Accuracy was abysmal, but when you’re shooting at a phalanx, who cares?
Hey – this looks like a nice proof-of-concept device. Give it 2 generations and we’ll have an improved cyclic ROF, a bigger magazine, and no doubt God’s Own Railfarm out front, a recoil pad in the back, a choice of furniture from hand-smoothed wood from a spotted owl habitat to artfully roughened composite for the retro-mall-ninja.
Plus improved ROF and accuracy, just read the brochure!

This has been sent to Larry, right?

I would have liked to see the results, aka the target, in some of the frames?
