The have been only two people that I have refused to teach to shoot. The second was my best friend’s son, a longtime gaming fanatic. He had just turned 18, and was determined to buy himself a rifle. His mother figured that she couldn’t prevent him from buying it (since he no longer lived with her), and asked me if I’d teach him to use it safely.
One short conversation revealed that this kid was so full of crap, and so absolutely convinced that he knew all there is to know, that I told her I refused to risk the liability and frustration of dealing with him. I can only hope that whatever gun store(s) he visits will have employees who know better than to sell to him. (shudder)
“Call of Duty Effect”. Yeah.
Nonsense, Gamers learn history and all sort of facts about gun they use in games. My son has more knowledge than I expected. He does shoot rifles, but now he has a better knowledge of military weapons.
