So, in a ‘show of force’ the NYPD and it’s political masters decided that should there be a Moscow-type attack, some more cops would die too?
Just WHAT THE HELL were armed swat goons on trains supposed to do? Think the terrs would do anything to attract the goons attention before lighting off their bombs?
I realize Bloomberg is a moron…are there ANY adults running things in NYC?
I’m sure a high powered rifle is the ideal weapon to use in a crowded subway. Because we all know that suicide bombers never attack heavily armed police men.
Right; ITs the WEAPON THATS FACING THE WRONG WAY:) I dont care how well u dress em’ they still cant hit a bull in the ass. Ist thing you learn when you really do learn to shoot is that there are two types of people who cant shoot. Cops and Soldiers, the majority of which can operate 1 weapon, with a minimum profenciancy and then often, not very well. Spec ops guys and swat get a little more and some of them SUCK. They sure are pretty tho in thier little black suits:) BUY MORE AMMO
Been there, done that. Spook .45 is correct. I’ve had to stop firing & raise my hand to stop the line because of incompetents next to me sending rounds all over the range, literally !!! Most, I’ll say 90% anyway, can’t hit squat. (“You’re supposed to stop, I’m shooting near you & I’ve got a badge”!!!)
Check out the index finger on the mag well. +1 for trigger discipline!!

There are more photos there, too. Why are the guys in pic six wearing ACUs? Are they military? What about the Posse Comitatus Act?
I’ve ridden the New York subway a few times when I’ve been up there. The presence of a couple of heavily armed cops would have brought me great mental comfort. That was before I began providing my own security. And that’s why there’s some states I don’t visit anymore.

Just like the entire liberal agenda, it’s not the substance, it’s the image. Whether they are properly trained or not, intimidation is the main focus.

Wasn’t this what the AWB was supposed to stop…”assault weapons on the street”..even on the subway??
Oh no, it’s my semi-auto self-defense rifle they want.

flighterdoc asked Think the terrs would do anything to attract the goons attention before lighting off their bombs?
Well, given how incompetent they’ve tended to be so far in most cases, yeah, odds are greater than zero.
I mean, the kind of rejects Al Quaeda sends against the US these days aren’t exactly as sharp as the ones Chechen rebels have to send against Moscow.
(That said, this is still patent security theater, but still…)

Hey, those must be those new explosive-proof police officers.
You know a more effective measure might just be to make everyday, no pants day on the NYC subway system.
