In a universe that’s contained a “tactical” Ruger 10/22 for years, I suppose nobody should spend too much time laughing at a revolver with a rail. Although … Well, sheesh.
Has anyone ever chronographed what speed the load from a 2 1/2″ .410 load actually has out of the barrel of a Judge?
The three-ball load, the only one I’d be interested in using, needs to have a speed of at least 800 fps to make the balls effective at penetrating heavy clothing PLUS enough flesh to disable the quarry. I seem to have read some where that shotgun loads are still burning their powder until the load passes the 24″ mark in a field gun’s barrel. Seems to me that the snub-nose Judges are going to at least cut the full speed in half, putting it well below 800 fps.

Hell, they jumped it with the Public Defender. Still want one, though.
And no, I don’t know why.

Not yet; I still don’t see a top rail for scoping those long-range shots.

Mounting a flashlight on a snake gun? How gauche. Everyone knows rattlers are only found in well lit hiding places.

I kinda like the new revolving carbine they just came out with. Reminds me of the old Colt revolving shotgun.
