So because I am impervious to “his” and “your” “reasoning” that make me wrong??? Sounds very brady of you… Are you reading Paul Helmke lines again??? That is the exact same argument that helmke gives. He believes pro gunners do not listen to reason…
I love being regarded as fanatical for equality… I support equal rights.. If I support equal rights what do you support when you disagree with me??? Elitist rights perhaps??? It means I stand up for something not on a part time when it is convenient or cool basis..
Makes me recall the lyrics for a harry connick jr song.. “Stand up for something or be knocked down for nothing” What are you going to be knocked down for??? Other than nothing….
Only a moron would think carrying a long gun into a library would be OK. These radical open carry advocates could easily upset the applecart for all the rest of us. The wind has been in our backs for some years now with the public supporting a pro second amendment position.
Look at the fierce debate on all these gun blogs. It’s clear many or most gun folks find the long gun carry into a place like a library stupid. If pro gun people feel this way what would you expect to find from folks not into guns?
I have been appalled at the obtuse nature of the radical open carry people. I am still in favor of open carry. I was going to get involved in the open carry fight. Not now.
When a person’s best/only argument is, “You sound like the Brady Bunch!111!!11!” the only mature response is to ignore him, especially when that argument hinges on blatant strawmen and mischaracterizations…
Rosa Parks sat at the front of the bus. She didn’t stand in the isle in a bright pink bikini bottom with nothing but pasties on the top that read “SUCK IT WHITE BOY! I AIN’T MOVIN’” while blocking access to the rest of the bus. There’s Martin Luther King, and then there’s Malcom X. One has a holiday and hundreds of streets that bear his name, the other is still spoken of in tones of scorn in polite company.

Hey Linoge, what is it when a person’s best/only argument is One Simple Question that is conspicuously ignored by the opposite side?
Hint: the answer rhymes with Seasoned Fish Course (not TM).

Acksiom: When are you going to apologize for lying to us for representing yourself as some kind of neutral party to this dispute on political tactics?
And now you are helping John Smith set fire to strawmen, by claiming that people who disagree with your tactics are junior-league nazis and Bradyites.
John Smith: Nice straw man. Anyone who doesn’t support your lame-assed fanatic tactics is now a gun-grabber in your eyes.

Just one question: Where either of you two mentioned by name in that restraining order, or close friends of people on that restraining order?
