Speaking of chicks* and guns
Some idiot named Eric Heyl says that NRA’s efforts at getting women involved in shooting are misguided because women should be in the kitchen making me a sammich. No, really. He also says the industry isn’t going to be successful in drawing them and actually uses the phrase tap that.
Some of the girly gun bloggers take him to task for being a sexist asshat. This must be a shock to him since you girls shouldn’t be blogging about guns. But I digress.
Other than being misogynistic moron, he also happens to be wrong and misleading in his premise. Saying that NRA’s push to involve women is failing because only 20% show at the convention is a stupid measure. And anyone with access to google could have figured out pretty quickly that women are the fastest growing gun owning demographic.
* Yeah, that’s right. I used the word chicks when talking about sexism.

Thats racist or something.
Yeah, I saw those posts by Breda and Sebastian which lead me over to reading that numb nuts ramblings. I think he’s probably just looking for some attention, but what ever it is… He might want to use a nicer tone towards women. He wouldn’t want his mother to kick him out of her basement.

Alan he’s not scared of women, he thinks they’re great, and independent and can do anything they put their mind to….except work above him, or drive cars, or earn more money than him….\
Its much like the left’s love for minorities and homosexuals. They’re awesome and good and a wonderful sign of diversity and tolerance….so long as they don’t live inside their gated community. And as we can see, God help anybody who disagrees with them, then nothing is off limits or passe.

I believe the preferred term is “broads.” “Dames” is also acceptable, but “chicks” is horribly racist, you racist.

You do realize that we will be in Pittsburgh with Breda, and so will that Heyl Person. Can you say “Innocent Bystander”?

Men respond to women, and women determine what is acceptable in a society, if you don’t get women in your movement… you will lose, period, end of story.

In other words he’s scared of them. Frankly he probably should be scared of some of the gunblogging chicks I know.

The wife was really pissed off when she read it last night.
She had a few choice comments to make, including some wonderful snark. I thought her response was funny as hell, especially at the end.

And the whiny pissant actually had the nerve to pull the “I was only joking” excuse when he got called on the carpet for his behavior.
What a child.
