Crossman was displaying an airgun upper for the AR platform for around $800…it was interesting but you could have a good quality .22LR upper for that price.
Google up “International Field Target”. Not unusual for those guys to top a $3K Steyr air rifle with a $3K Schmidt&Bender scope. Just to knock over a plywood bunny.

They are scary accurate!

Less is right.
I shot 10-meter air rifle in high school, the sights on my RWS (school owned) cost as much as the gun.
If you weren’t in the mid-90s in standing you weren’t competitive as 100 was normal for prone and kneeling you needed 97/98 minimum consistently.
