If I thought for a moment they could actually handle the level of thinking needed for it, I’d say it’s a good thing. Unfortunately, they’re staffed with idiots.
It will become just another tool to molest people and expand their authority.
Hey, here’s the Choice: Try something New, or Stick with the Old. At least with the Israeli Method, one doesn’t get to molest 95 year old Grandmothers in Wheel Chairs to prove how Powerful a Bully one is.
Les, it’s the TSA. This just gives the TSA goon one more way to justify molesting 95 year old Grandmothers in Wheel Chairs to prove how Powerful a Bully he is, and this method is entirely subjective.
“She wouldn’t look me in the eye! That’s suspicious! I had to fondle her pat her down.”
Ditto Jake. It’s not the idea that I’m against, it’s that these mouth-breathers are the ones following it.
Also, unlike Israel, I believe that I may legally answer, “I am exercising my right to remain silent until I speak to an attorney,” without being denied access to the flight. I may be subject to a groping (which I will be anyways, since I’m not stepping into the cancer-machine) but I don’t think they can prohibit me from flying.

If anyone thinks they’d reduce pat downs and all the other trappings and props of their Security Theater show just because they started screening like Israel does, I’ve got this very nice bridge to sell you.
You’ve gotta know they’ll do both! And they’ll keep coming up with more invasive ways of questioning, profiling, and screening.
As a semi-frequent business traveler, I dread the day a terrorist tries to (or succeeds) in setting off an explosive hidden in a surgical implant of some kind.
You all need to stop worrying. Didn’t you see the article said “all with college degrees”? That means they’re smarter. You know, because a college degree means you’re smarter.
1. Israeli security won’t work on our scale. Ben Gurion airport is smaller than Austin-Bergstrom.
2. The SPOT ‘micro-expression’ system promoted by Paul Ekman is mostly pseudoscience. Try finding peer reviewed articles or any sort of scientific testing. There hasn’t been any.

There is absolutely no way the dregs of humanity employed by the TSA would ever be able to successfully implement Israeli style profiling.
What they’ll wind up with is a list of questions on a card and the mouth breather’s “opinion” of whether you’re suspicious.
What could possibly go wrong?

Except that they intend to keep doing both.
