IS there a uniform signage law for “no guns” like there is in Texas? Is the posted sign legally binding on carriers of licensed (or permitted) concealed weapons?
I ask because similar signs are used here in Texas by businesses that want to make the anti-gunners happy, but who also know the signs mean NOTHING legally. Here in Texas the signage requirements are quite detailed and strict, and the one posted would not pass muster as a legal “no guns” sing.
mikee, I’ve not been able to find out if Wisconsin law criminalizes carry in contravention of a sign.
Texas specifically does criminalize carry that violates that statutorily defined sign. Many states do not, such as my home state. In such states, the signs “mean” nothing as well.

Thanks for the link. It’s always nice when a blogger you read regularly finds something interesting on your own site.
