And no jury will convict
Father finds man molesting his four year old. Beats the man to death. If this guy needs a legal fund (unlikely, it’s Texas), let me know and I’ll plug it and donate to it.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.

Hell yeah.
You sexually abuse little kids, or rape someone… you get ended. Thats the easy way to track sex offenders… you put them all in one place. A cemetery.

Sheriff appears to feel this was justified homicide. That will weigh in with the DA, who (prediction) won’t prosecute.
But yeah, sign me up for the defense fund if the DA prosecutes and the events are as-reported.

It would be nice if the majority of those that would harm others met the same fate, then there would be much more room for the pot smokers in jail. BRAVO!
Surely in Texas there are no DA’s dumb enough to prosecute, but I have seen dumber things.

Sure would make the “sexual offender” registration system effective. I mean, its not like you wouldn’t know *exactly* where they were at *all* times.

God bless Texas.

This has been on talk radio here in Austin quite a lot recently. Consensus opinion seems to be that no prosecution is warranted, if there is prosecution there will be no conviction.
Local callers are split on whether to give a public commendation to the father, or just donate to his defense fund.

We don’t really apply the death penalty properly. Murderers, may or may not, ever kill again. But pedophiles, they can’t be cured, are a danger to society, death is a good solution.

I was talking about this today with some family and friends. My dad is from Ft Worth and was amazed to hear that the Texas Rangers investigated and that this went before a grand jury. He hasnt lived in Texas in 20 years and he’s worried the state is “going soft”. He says in his day that the father would have buried the guy behind the horse barn and told the sheriff next time he ran into him.

Sure there are: in Houston, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio.
Fortunately this happened outside of those places.

Actually, he’ll benefit from having it heard by a Grand Jury. ‘Cause when they deliver a finding of “No True Bill”, then he’s off the hook and in a far stronger position to defend against any subsequent civil actions.
I know if I’m (God forbid!) involved in any self defense shooting, I’ll PRAY to have a Grand Jury give such a finding. In Texas law, that “No Bill” is the real teeth in the Castle Doctrine.
Still, it’d be nice if that Grand Jury had a way to send accolades along with that No Bill !
