The press goes full hysteria
If you’re going to advocate gun controls, it helps to know what you’re talking about: … banning assault rifles or limiting high-capacity ammunition, …. Layers of editorial oversight.
I’m a gun owner and a conservative but …
The assault weapons ban did no good but we should pass one anyway because GUNS! More of the same.
Make the NRA accountable for the actions of gun owners. Just like the AARP should be held accountable every time an old person confuses the gas for the brake.

Demand a plan? They demand a ban. Sleazy, dishonest weasels who want to ban our guns and then do as they please with us.
The answer is “NO!”.

Make the Congress and President accountable for the actions of the military.

How about making CAIR responsible for all terrorist attacks, or making gay rights organizations responsible for all child molesters?

I’m still trying to figure out the logic that can take an individual down this path:
“Let’s ban these dangerous weapons. Here are the things that make weapons dangerous:”, listing the scary features they don’t want on guns.
“Gun makers are still making guns that kill people, and they’re getting around our new laws by making insignificant cosmetic changes to the guns they sell.”
…and they never seem to get to what, to me, would be the next logical step of “…so the features we banned are insignificant cosmetic features, and we should have planned this better.”
Just goes to show ya, when people are emotionally invested in a position, you can’t logic them out of it.
