Why are anti-gun activists so violent?
And another illegal mayor.
Mayor James Schiliro of Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania, a member of Michael Bloomberg’s MAIG coalition, held a minor hostage at gun point. He also gave the minor alcohol.

This is why they don’t trust us with guns, their own flaws…

Does anyone have a good link to that page that showed a list of those anti-gun mayors with the crimes they committed by chance?

I’m no longer surprised by this. I long ago realized that many liberals harbor the same prejudices that they accuse others of holding. Projection, pure and simple. What I haven’t figured out is why it’s so common on the political Left, but not so much on the Right. Sure, you still see it from time to time, but it’s not nearly as obvious. I think much of it has to do with the emotionalism of activism on the left, versus the rationalism of the right (or, at least, the libertarian wing of the right).
You don’t see, for instance, NRA board members doing this sort of thing, even though you know each of them probably owns a freaking arsenal of guns.

“What I haven’t figured out is why it’s so common on the political Left, but not so much on the Right.”
Perhaps, when you start from the premise that all you do and believe is good and proper, you’re less likely to restrain yourself.
Conservatives and libertarians share the belief that people are NOT inherently good, which may lead them to question their own impulses and restrain them.

“Gun-control laws do not control crime because crimes are not committed by guns; they are committed by criminals. Criminals will always have guns because they do not obey laws, including anti-gun laws. Those without guns are easy prey for criminals with guns. Gun control encourages crime.
“The right to bear arms was included in the Bill of Rights, not to deter crime, but to deter oppressive government. Just governments honor and protect the right to bear arms. Oppressive governments fear and prohibit the right to bear arms.
