Mad Hatter
At the beach a couple of weeks back, I lost my favorite hat. I’m not that worried since I get free hats all the time. But it was the hat I wore to work. Since I lost it, I started wearing a LuckyGunner hat and interesting things have happened.
My window guy engaged me in a 30 minute conversation on guns after seeing my hat. So did the guy who handles my porta potties and dumpsters. And a customer whose house I went in to deal with some minor issues opened up his gun safe to show me the contents. So, I got invited to shoot a few times and got to handle some pretty cool guns.
Gun people tend to connect.

Hi-Point hats start conversations, too. They are real Power Hats.

Wore a Glock polo shirt driving through Central CO. Probably 10 spontaneous conversations, everything from “Cool” to “Waddya shoot?” to “Is..is..that the GUN??”. At dinner some guy stopped by my table on his way out of the restaurant and said “Dude, your guns saved my life” and patted his leg. Yes, gun people tend to connect.

Back when W was still in office, I used to love wearing a Texas Rangers ballcap to my local SoCal farmers market. It’d piss off the hippies something fierce (the glares I’d get were truly epic) but they wouldn’t say anything because I suspect that they were self-conscious about giving someone shit for wearing an MLB cap. Might be mistaken for a pro sports fan, y’know.

We wear the t-shirt with the 1911 muzzle and those in the know give the smile. The rest haven’t a clue, and that’s kool too.

My Kalashnikitty shirt works wonders.
I get asked to pose for pictures all the time, hopefully from the neck down…I’m not pretty.
I wear the Luckygunner hat all time, but the bright yellow shirt gets the comments….I think its that cars and target practice comment on the back.

I’m a fan of covert gun garb. You know the shirts with sight apertures, AR bolt faces, etc. It doesn’t upset holophobes and gun nuts still recognize each-other.

My Schuetzen Black Powder hat gets me some weird looks. It’s also gotten me some offers of some old Smoke poles I just wish I had the money for. I was offered a real over 100 year old double barrel flintlock 16 ga fouler for $150 I just wish I’d had the money. I would have loved t fix that up to shoot again.

How did it go with the ladies?

Hat? What hat? That, sir, is a cap. A hat has a brim on it, not a bill.

I have a pistol necklace, and it tends to spark all kinds of conversations and generally men leave me alone lol. I like the what do you shoot questions… To hear a woman say her favorite personal protection is a .40 and favorite rifle is a .308 is apparently a shocker
