Another Zumboing
Guns and Ammo editor calls for gun control? More he’s likely heard that well-regulated nonsense and bought some of it.

Maybe Metcalf wants to retire from Guns & Ammo and get a seat on the board of the Brady Campaign.

Meh. Follow the money. It’ll probably lead to Bloomie. Bloomie probably wants to fund a false-flag “gunnie” pub and needs someone to run it.

What is wrong with these aging loonies, sticking his regulator up his ass?

Tam said of Zumbo back then:
“On Friday evening, a gunwriter who was apparently tired of his 42-year career put his word processor in his mouth and pulled the trigger.”
Beyond the chilling and poetic beauty of that phraseology is the fact that for Zumbo it was a mistake; it wasn’t fatal and he was rehabilitated.
But after so much having been said and done since then and the contexts being quite different, in this case Mr. Metcalf’s career needs to die, never to be heard from again. Except maybe as a spokesman for the Brady Bunch.

Dick Metcalf is just another sap that has let the Word Definition Game played by the anti-rights crowd sway his opinion on interpreting the U.S. Constitution.
He should know better; and Guns & Ammo (if they publish his rubbish) sure as Hell should know better.
In late 18th century America, “well regulated” meant “well equipped”.
I think Dick Metcalf needs to be “regulated” down to the mail room at Guns & Ammo until his soon-to-be retirement party and sendoff.

Oh boy, you guys all have it wrong. “An army marches on its stomach.” Napoleon said that and you can’t tell me he didn’t know what he was talking about. The Founding Fathers also knew that having just fought a Revolutionary War. A well-regulated militia is one that has adequate roughage in its diet and comfortable, daily bowel movements.

Well Regulated? Doesn’t that mean the water well was certified as potable?
Shall Not Be Infringed? Doesn’t that mean the fringe can’t go all the way around it?
nk (above) may be on to something. If the lefties can play word games, maybe we should, too.

Metcalf who?

So happens, I’d bought a newsstand copy of this issue on the same day that the storm broke on the matter.
I’ll keep that issue, always. What a hell of an example of the weak, inner core of a foundationless man.
I’m reading it over and over, and am word-tracking memorized responses to the arguments therein. I am not going to let any lefty or anti use any part of that perfidy of publication to succeed in using it as some reference or touchstone.
They’ll get the whole nine yards from me, on that one.
And yes, I hope the jackwagons careers (both of ’em), end up in the crappile, and not in some cushy Senior Editor title with the same, or any other company.
I’ll stop now, before I degrade to harsh language.
