Caleb forgot Box ‘O Truth

I guess his opinion matters or something? I don’t really visit his site that much (since it’s all about him, which is fine, for him). I usually cruise to here and Weaponsman, daily. I usually go to Tam’s, a few times a week, along with the PAgunblog guys. Once in awhile I’ll venture over to TTAG, when the spirit moves me.

Honestly, I’m at the point with Gun Nuts that I find getting on Caleb’s black list to be a borderline recommendation.

You didn’t say, but if there’s reciprocity I’d imagine it’s for the latter list…he certainly fits the profile; prolific and full of himself, full of other stuff too (but I repeat myself), yet he really believes he’s on the inside of an elite “cabal”. Of course self-delusion is primary to that list.

My every day list is longer than 5, but hey, I’m a gun nut:
1) ENDO (www.everydaynodaysoff.com)
2) Say Uncle (You already know)
3) Shall Not Be Questioned (www.pagunblog.com)
4) TTAG (www.thetruthaboutguns.com – I know, I know)
5) TFB (www.thefirearmblog.com)
6) The View from North Central Idaho (blog.joehuffman.org)
7) Sipsey Street (sipseystreetirregulars.blogspot.com)
I also love Smallest Minority, but it’s more of a libertarian blog than a gun blog. Still, logic abounds over there.

While the list of 5 sites with bad gun info was amusing, it failed to include the Brady Campaign, VPC, Joan Peterson’s CommonGunSense.com or Vice President Joe Biden, so I have to conclude the list was a joke rather than a serious attempt to root out error.

Man, if it weren’t for butthurt and drama, there’d be no internet at all. 😉

“…if it weren’t for butthurt and drama, there’d be no internet at all.”
There would, just all wussified: “moderation enabled”. 😛

Is there someone who actually thinks that anything Caleb says is interesting or relevant? The only time I see his site is if someone links to it and I click without knowing it’s his.

Caleb can have relevant things to say, but I’ll concede he also has an attitude problem that puts me off for weeks at a time.

What’s with the hating on nutinfancy?
May 13th, 2014 at 8:20 pm
Would never read that site. I agree with some of posters here about it’s owner, but I digress.
I do think guys like nutnfancy have done more to grow this hobby than some of the bloggers stuck in a perpetual circle jerk with one another. That may be for better or worse depending on his viewership, but his format and exposure on youtube ensures he is much more likely to sell a product he may or may not recommend. That’s why certain manufacturers of many product have befriended his “project” on youtube. In all it only helps support the growth of the hobby as well as struggling companies trying to grow appeal for demand of their product. So why hate?
I also find some great threads on arfcom and on brand specific firearm sites. I think grossly generalizing info as bad or good is a disservice to readers and only promotes group think. Also not helpful in growing this lifestyle.

More Drama for the Llama God!
May 14th, 2014 at 4:45 pm
My only everyday is here. Maybe once a week when I’m bored, TFB. Everything else, I know I’ll see linked here if it’s any good.
I do have to say, I’ve watched several of Nutnfancy’s videos and didn’t have any real problems with them, outside of brevity. I like that he pushes the idea of “Philosophy of Use” which means that a particular piece of equipment might be good or bad for particular uses but not for others. It’s the kind of thing that we all talk about, but NF has given it a name and dedicates significant time to it, which I think is important to those just entering the gun world who want “the best X” and maybe haven’t considered that “the best” is a nuanced concept.
