Man brandishing a gun but it’s OK, he’s with ATF
Police shut down a Minneapolis freeway due to a high risk stop because a man was waving a gun around and, generally, endangering other people. Seems he brandished a gun at another driver. He was released because he’s one of the king’s men.

As an “undercover” only one he is exempt. Now if it was any of us our friends and kinfolk would still be trying to come up with enough money to pay the bail bondman.

An acquaintance who worked at a gun/pawn shop in North Georgia was driving his pickup on a lonely two-lane at twilight when a car blasts up on his bumper with brights on; he slowed so they would pass but instead they rode his ass for miles. His little girl was with him so he took his pistol from the console and just held it up for an instant in the back glass. The car did back off and he thought it was done, but the next night the marshall was at his door; the other driver (who was just an impatient woman instead of a threat, but he didn’t know that) had called in his tag and said he brandished the weapon at her.
He was charged with a felony, spent 30 days in jail, got 3 years probation, and lost his job as you can’t have a record and be in the business he was in.
Let that be a lesson to us all who do not carry a shiny get-out-of-stupid-trouble-free token.

I never knew the road rage and brandishing were part of their training. It makes sense though. Obviously, we need to leave those things to the professionals.

JTC,
Thank you for sharing the story. I obviously don’t know any of the particulars, but I’ll go ahead and assume that your friend described the incident in-detail to the police officers who showed up at his home. If that’s what he did, he might have cooked his own goose.
Remember, police are never there to help you. They are on-your-location to write citations and make arrests. They are not promoted for applying reason or understanding. They are not reprimanded for lying or misinterpreting what you say.

Yep…remember the popo are judge, jury and executioner as need be.
Never volunteer anything to a serving “peace officer” ever. they will even tell you that.

I could just imagine the shitstorm from shooting someone who brandishes on you and it turns out to be a fed. Not a good day me thinks.
