The prices on that list a a bit unrealistic, but the idea is sound.
The comments on the post are funny as hell. Diabetic? Cancer? Gluten Allergy? Typical idiots. Do you know what you do when you are hungry? You eat what there is, or you die. It’s simple.
Seriously where do they think you can get 50lbs of wheat for 5 bucks. Secondarily I don’t understand stocking wheat at all. So when a disaster hits you go grind your wheat into flour? Why not just stock flour to start with? Flour dry packed in mylar has at least a 20 year shelf life.

Because as soon as you crack wheat berries, it begins to spoil. It looses its nutritive value.
We have 3 grain mills, each does its thing, and one does it with old fashioned cast iron gusto.

But those prices are on crack. Seriously, no one is getting sugar, honey, let alone the rest for $5.

Dear Uncle:
Good article to get folks thinking and talking about food storage for an event, but the article makes a couple of mistakes.
First, what Vicki Tate said:

Backwoods Home: Vicki Tate – Seven Mistakes of Food Storage
http://www.backwoodshome.com/articles/tate55.html
Second, what Renegade Azzy said, the first time:

OISM: Nuclear War Survival Skills – Chapter Nine: Food

Third, what I said:
GSIEP: 16 Weeks – Week Four: Food

Sincerely, Someone You Know
P.S.
I have to plug the book:
