Responding to terror
Oleg:
Going after coreligionists of the offenders would make no more sense than bombing the Vatican in response to an IRA attack.
There’s more but that caught my eye. I wouldn’t be surprised if one day we see a group of some other religion decide to get go on revenge killings in response to terror. Eye for eye or some such. I hope not. But humans have, historically, been pretty violent when it comes to a rousing game of “my invisible man in the sky can beat up your invisible man in the sky”.

So… Charlie Hebdo in France was attacked and 12 people murdered because a group of fanatics couldn’t stand them exercising their rights to free speech. Now newspapers and news outlets around the world are BLURRING out the Charlie Hebdo cartoon images on broadcasts because of fear of retaliation. People refuse to acknowledge this for what it is: Islamic Terrorism. And news outlets who constantly tells us how they brave they are to report the facts are proving what gutless cowards they are.
The lesson here folks is that maybe all you need to do is chop off some heads, shoot some reporters and bomb civilians in order to get a free pass in criticism. Who is going to criticize your religion or beliefs if they know you are going to retaliate in such brutal ways? We know that the MSM will not because they are cowards.
And how is it in a matter of minutes of the news breaking we, Westerners, are berated to not “blame Muslims” or told that this is “not Islamic teaching.” It is never Islam’s teachings at fault, we are told, it is our inherent racism or Islamophobia that is at fault. We are berated for daring to hold Muslim’s to a standard — a standard in which we should not be threatened, attacked or killed because they do not want to be criticized.
If I, as a Christian, should have to tolerate things such as “Piss Christ” or a woman masturbating with a crucifix — then a Muslim should tolerate a person calling Mohammed a pedophile or drawing him as a pig.
If I, as a Christian, should be held to a standard of ridicule and criticism of my beliefs then a Muslim should be held to the same standard.
I do not have to change my way of thinking — Muslims must change theirs. If their beliefs, culture and ways of life can not tolerate this acceptance of criticism and ridicule without resorting to violence then they are the problem.
Islam — Muslims — are to blame. Their teachings are to blame. Their radicalization is to blame. And our inability to hold them accountable — as you would a child who breaks a rule — is to blame for their growing boldness and continued attacks on our own Western culture. And for every free pass we give them the attacks become more bold, more direct and we retreat a little further each day.
This must stop.

With this latest bullshit, there’s a chance there might be some violent retribution not over religion but because people are sick of this bullshit.
I’m not suggesting it, or advocating revenge killings. But eventually someone, maybe even an atheist, is going to react very violently.

Well, when the “youths” start celebrating the attack tonight in the French banlieues, I would not be surprised if a few of them ended up in the morgue at the hands of the gendarmerie. They did lose two of their own.

“Going after coreligionists of the offenders would make no more sense than bombing the Vatican in response to an IRA attack. ”
Unless a bunch of Vatican Cardinals are saying ‘it’s the duty of all Catholics and Irish Catholics to destroy those Limey Anglican bastards!’

Then, maybe, having a salty attitude about the Vatican doesn’t seem so out of place

It’s an absolute lie to say that, “it’s not Islamic teaching” because it IS very well documented Islamic teaching, it’s throughout the Koran and chanted daily throughout the Muslim world.

Except the IRA didn’t massacre because a Brit said something nasty about the Pope .

The Irish/English conflict is over territory, not religion.

Not sure which Roman said it, but one of the emperors said, “I don’t care if they love us as long as they fear us.”
For far too long, the world has neither loved nor feared us. Time for a change. We’d run out of targets before we’d run out of nukes.
I’m really tired of this $hit.

And how many have been murdered for “the visible man” who dosen’t allow anyone to speak of “the invisible man”, i.e. Stalin and Mao– tens of millions more!
The political man and the religion man fear liberty and will kill to control, but the true “invisible man” ….where the Spirit of the LORD is, there is liberty. ( II Corinthians 3:17)

This is a country which believes in appeasement and not armaments and a religion which believes in destroying the infidels.
Can you imagine this happening in Spartanburg, Ft. Worth, Knoxville, etc.?
Allah ahkbar.

Chris, the high and mighty “powers that be”, along with many big city mayors, would like to make it much more easy to happen with a disarmed citizenry. Thus would they “give aid and comfort to our enemies” which is the precise definition of “treason” in Article III, Section 3 of our Constitution.

I think that the standard libertarian cant is not working here.
A better plan would be to tell the leaders of countries like Yemen to control their little fanatic shitweasels, or we will give everyone in the country something else to deal with.
Something very violent. Countries are not like china in a china shop. You can bust all the plates, and walk away.

Tolerance and “turning the other cheek” has brought us to this current situation. We are dealing with people who only recognize “Peace Through Superior Firepower”.
I don’t wish that my culture and religion disappear from history.
I’m tired of being told that Islam is a religion of peace.
I’m tired of being told that the Islamic radicals are only a small percentage of the totality of Islam.
They want us dead or as submissive peasants.
Wake up!
