“The ultimate in stopping power”
I’ve mentioned this before but here’s another video on the Multiple Impact Bullet:
So, your handgun now has a spread pattern? I wonder what IDPA has to say about this.

Hmm. There’s a maximum payload for a given caliber, which is being decided into several, much lighter projectiles. A twelve gauge has enough payload, but a 9 mm or a 40? Increased hit probability at the expense of range and penetration. Yup, that’s why we have shotguns, and the Taurus Judge.
OK, so maybe there’s something there that I’m not understanding. We should always allow for that possibility. The limited shot spread may be of value, somehow. What were those ship’s gun loads called, that had two or more rounds connected with a chain, designed to rip up the sails of an opposing ship? That’s what they have there.

In IDPA they’d be against it, if for no other reason that it would tear up the expensive targets and taqrget supports, and require more frequent re-sets.

Lyle,
Chain shot or split shot.

So 124 gr 9mm JHP has roughly 13-17 inches of penetration. Lets assume the primary projectile is 65 gr and each of the other projectiles is 20 gr. Then we know 95gr .380 has penetration of 8-11 inches.
I will assume a 65 grain projectile from this set up is going to get a fair amount less than the heavier .380, so call it 4-7 inches for the primary projectile. Then the flat sided 20 grain tethered projectiles should get something like 1-2 inches of penetrations. So that creates a possibility of 1-3 annoying wounds that may create later infection issues and 1 wound that with great shot placement may reach a vital organ on a fairly skinny person.
But, hey there were hits???
I see a huge pile of fail here, although apparently people have been buying this for at least 3 years.
This missing issue is one that training would also overcome.
or better put as
fools, money…

But it is expensive and unique, therefore it must be excellent!

Would have worked better if, like true chain shot, these projectiles were connected with wire. But they are not, I think due to legal concerns.
