    and Jeb!…interwebz is funny

  2. JTC Says:

Talk amongst yourselves, adults…’cause nobody else will be listening. Well at least Rand can get some airtime; hello, is this thing on? Wonder if Fox is smart enough to leave an podium in the middle, I would tune in just to see that.

Srsly, without Trump for Megyn to play gotcha with, we’ll find out if any of these suits actually have something to say; prediction though, they’ll still spend most of their time talking about The Donald. If anything he’ll get another bump in the polls.

  3. Ron W Says:

If I was Trump, I would hold an open question and answer from a first come, first serve audience during the Fox debate. Say I’m taking questions from Iowans while the other candidates are taking questions from Fox. But that’s just me.

  4. JTC Says:

Let’s hope there will be some adults on the stage because there sure won’t be any at the jour no list table…

A statement from a FOX News spokesperson read: “We learned from a secret back channel that the Ayatollah and Putin both intend to treat Donald Trump unfairly when they meet with him if he becomes president — a nefarious source tells us that Trump has his own secret plan to replace the Cabinet with his Twitter followers to see if he should even go to those meetings.”

Trump said that response was “written by a child.”

Wow. I might just skip that shit after all.

  5. Deaf Smith Says:

Trump can sod off. If he is so afraid of Megyn.. well the little boy can go home with his marbles. Boo Hoo hooo.

  6. Nylarthotep Says:

How sad. The thin-skinned, petty, egomaniac solution to the present thin-skinned, petty, egomaniacal president isn’t going to play.

If he can’t take questions from an unfriendly source, he’s going to have a hell of a time getting anything done as the president.

  7. JTC Says:

“Trump is not used to not controlling things, Kelly said…the truth is, he doesn’t get to control the (old) media.”

Of course not; only progs get to do that. New media is quite a different thing, and it drives them crazy.

  8. Ron W Says:

JTC, I’ve observed that this “old” media is afraid without being able to control things, which they always do. They often talk about someone, but not to them, especially on LIVE interviews. In a real interview or discourse, the interviewer should be willing to answer questions too, so that we know from what perspective their questions come. Most media people fear that and will not do it. I’m also wondering why Fox put the same panel up again. They have others. Why didn’t they give them a chance? I would have liked to see O’Reilly or Hannity, for example, replacing some in their previous debate panel. From my observation, Trump has given far more live interviews than any other presidential candidate and has even been interviewed by alternative media–about which the “old” media will talk about, but not to, lest subject matter control be lost.

  9. Ron W Says:

The Republican conservative icon did it too:

  10. DaveP. Says:

“Kelly meanwhile welcomed liberal filmmaker Michael Moore on her program Tuesday night who applauded her handling of the Trump feud”

Because, any time you’re on the same side of an issue as Mike Moore you’ve GOT to be in the right…

  11. Ron W Says:

Old Michael demonstrated that there’s nothing to fear from the softness of Megyn Kelly’s interviews. I recall a lesser known interviewer reporting that when he tried to speak with Michael on the streets of NYC, he was pushed away by several armed goons providing security for the anti-gun advocate. I suppose like this by another NYC official who is considering a presidential bid, but fled from a lone reporter:

If he runs, maybe Megyn will show this video clip and ask him about
    it? Probably not.

  12. Jim Scrummy Says:

I am long popcorn futures watching this…whatever this is?

  13. JTC Says:

Ron W, I had forgotten about RR doing the same thing in ’80; hilarious too that the other contender that year went on to be his vp…Trump/Cruz anyone?

Now Trump ain’t Ronnie, and I don’t expect the post-election map to be as red as it was back then, but I am convinced that the ticket I mentioned above is the winning one, not just for the nom but for the gen. And if it comes to pass that Donald goes one term and Ted has matured into the big chair by then, there just might be some chance for this old republic. And of course as the master of identifying and delegating responsibility I’m sure Palin (Interior?) and Paul (IRS?) will become powerful players on the Trump Team.
In His name we pray, amen.

  14. Fred Says:

Fox News refuses to acknowledge that America has three power centers; Feds, States, People and therefore always seeks to award more power to the Feds at the expense of the latter two. It is a nationalist organization. Lincoln would have loved it. If you are still watching Fox News then you will never understand the systematic brainwashing that this channel conducts over the minds of those ignorant of God’s Natural Law and those ignorant of the just laws of men. Turn off the machine and think for yourself.

  15. Ron W Says:

JTC, “Trump ain’t Ronnie”. Well, in some ways maybe better. Reagan signed reactionary gun control as California Gov. He capitulated to some amnesty with Congress and evidently didn’t act to stop illegal immigration. Reagan also didn’t go to war like the supposed “conservatives” now would like. He pulled out of Lebanon after 240 Marines were killed in a terror attack and made a single air raid against Ghaddafi after an airliner downing by Libyan terrorists. Re: the first two, Trump proposes more conservative approaches and agrees with the restrained foreign policy of Reagan which is actually a truly conservative use of our military power rather than squandering it with unconstitutional, no win, unending wars of occupation, nation building and establishing “democracy”, something our founders rejected in favor of a Constitutional Republic.

  16. LCB Says:

We may not like Trump, but please don’t assume he’s a “clown”. Who has everyone on the news been talking about non-stop this week. “Trump, Trump…Trump, TRUMP, Trump, and this just breaking…TRUMP.”

He’ll get more press by NOT being there than if he was.

He’s not throwing a temper tantrum. He’s probably planned this since the first Fox debate…

  17. JTC Says:

Ron W, someone said in ’08 “I’d vote for Reagan’s rotted corpse before anything being offered today.”

That’s still true for me, Trump included.

    Can’t argue with success.

  18. Ron W Says:

I voted for Reagan twice back before I was as politically aware, but if he was running today with his gun control as Gov, I’d think twice, especially in a primary election.

  19. Ron W Says:

LCB, given how he’s built a $10 Billion net worth and a multi-national business over the last 35-40 years, I would say you’re correct.

  20. JTC Says:

Politics is a learning curve, as is business.

Reagan mastered the former, his heart was sincere, and he became the standard by which conservatism and humility is judged.

Trump mastered the latter, I have come to believe he is sincere, and he has a chance to prove his conservatism, but humility? Well, like I said he ain’t Reagan.

The Donald is a smart man, and I’m betting his learning curve includes intense study of RR.

  21. Patrick Says:

Carson had an interview yesterday on CNN. The whole thing was CNN asking him about Trump. Carson barely 10 seconds to talk about why he should be president. Everything else was relating to Trump.

You got to credit the guy with being troll-wizard first class.

  22. Ron W Says:

JTC, I agree that Reagan is “the standard by which conservatism is judged”, but what is being conserved should not be defined by persons. Conservatism in political terms should be CONSERVING the principles of the Declaration of Independence, the wording of the Constitution and Bill of Rights and demand adherence by those by those to whom we’ve entrusted our delegated powers.

“Resolved … that it would be a dangerous delusion were a confidence in the men of our choice to silence our fears for the safety of our rights: that confidence is everywhere the parent of despotism — free government is founded in jealousy, and not in confidence; bind them down by the chains of the Constitution.” –Thomas Jefferson
