On the terror watch list
I would agree that the issue is not a good one for us, from a popularity standpoint and the political focus of the low information crowd. But Sebastian makes a good point about politicizing the issue.
But now it looks like some of the libertarian leaning members aren’t too keen on the NRA backed bill.

Yeah; you let that pass into law and then you’ll truly understand it’s purpose. It’s not only an easy bypass of the Bill of Rights, it sets precedent for further abuses.
Those are the only motivations behind it because, as has been said, of we don’t want terrorists in our midst, we could stop inviting them in. Once discovered, we could send them out.
This isn’t about terrorists (by which we mean Islamic jihadists) at all. It’s about you and me, and those stupid “rights” of ours which keep getting in the way of the Progressive movement.
If the NRA backs this piece of shit, then it should be de-funded. And by the way, any organization that allows Grover Norquist in its board, and then fails to get rid of him once he’s been outed, is no friend of liberty.
