At the convention, lots of mention of gun violence. But no solutions.

The Dems believe they are at a tipping point regarding firearms, due to the negative publicity received by several terrorist attacks and mass shootings recently.

That the tipping point could be return to self defense rights and rights to arms is what they are trying to avoid by conflating legal gun ownership with these killings, demonizing legal guns owners as likely mass murderers, and demonizing legal firearms as instruments of mass murder.

They’ve defined ‘the problem’ as ‘too many guns.’ Therefore ‘the solution’ is reduction of the number of guns in private hands to some number indistinguishable from zero.

See? Easy.

Yes, they do have a solution. It’s the same one they’ve always had: “Take the guns away from the people that aren’t the problem.”
