So what else is new? Politicians have pissed all over the Constitution from the moment it was adopted. Read St. George Tucker’s book about the Constitution, from 1803 (free download here: http://oll.libertyfund.org/titles/tucker-view-of-the-constitution-of-the-united-states-with-selected-writings/simple).
There’s nothing new under the sun.

Heads up Fellow Washingtonians… Seattle is currently trying to do the same thing with a (BLATANTLY) illegal city Income Tax as well.
They openly admit that they want to have it challenged so they can get the question before the WASC. And you KNOW that if they win at the SC level, then the entire state will eventually go ‘income tax’..one city/county at a time.

I searched the decision for the words “right” and “rights” and found nothing about the 2nd Amendment. I also searched for “Amendment” and found the 2nd Amendment was not mentioned in the decision.
When constitutional law is ignored completely, and enumerated rights are under judicial review, I’d say there is a problem with the decision.

It ain’t a problem with the decision, it’s a problem with the judge(s). I do not think said judges will like the solution to that problem when it finally comes to them.

Some local conservative municipality needs to pass a $100 per abortion tax. That would end all this nonsense right quick.

Thomas Jefferson was fearful of and predicted the judiciary would become a rogue, “despotic branch” of government. He was very prescient as were others of our wise founding fathers. And BTW, I read yesterday, that the Rev. Al Sharpton has called for the Jefferson Memorial to come down…the way of communism and ISIS, and his fellow travelers in our streets, campuses and public squares of late. Many of the black-robed renegades are their aiding and abetting allies.
