The party of smaller government
The budget deal adds an additional $300B in spending. At least the guy I supported gets it:
When the Democrats are in power, Republicans appear to be the conservative party. But when Republicans are in power, it seems there is no conservative party.

Analysis true.

The Democrats and Republicans did everything they could to destroy the Tea Party. They succeeded. They aren’t going to like it when interest rates go up and they are faced with the choice of either massive tax hikes or massive spending cuts. Either choice will bring out the torches and pitchforks.

“You Democrats sucker those people into voting for you, and I’ll sucker these dumb rednecks into voting for me, then we’ll get together and Party” says the Republican.
“Either choice will bring out the torches and pitchforks.”
Naw; they’ll print more money. What ever it takes. Anything but reality. When we reach the point Venezuela has reached, they’ll keep going too.
It’s a done deal. They’re all on the same team. It’s Rome. It’s Egypt. It’s Babylon. All we can do now is try to convince as many people as possible to come out of Babylon. Very few will.

Rand could have put it more simply: the difference between the R and D parties is ONLY in how they talk. Not in how they act. They are both socialist parties — only the propaganda changes.

“Naw; they’ll print more money.”
The results that come from that strategy will bring out nooses.

Good to see people so awake, many opinions that were shunned under 10 years ago today are shared by the masses. Looks like we are headed in the right direction, but there wont be nooses, just the proverbial holding of noses, and threats of ballot box rebellions that will accomplish nothing, and the cycle continues until we are Venezuela. In the case of Paul’s comment, it will be repeated for hundreds of years, like quotes from the founders.

Extraordinarily well said, sir.

I like guy. We could use a few hundred more of him in Congress.

If we head down the same path as Venezuela I beg to differ. People are literally starving to death there. People are dying from easily treatable diseases because of a lack of medicines. In Venezuela people have to flee to Colombia or Brazil because the police and the army have all of the guns. We have alternatives here.
