Now that’s funny
Heh:
Just last week, Congress was calling on Tide to change the design of the Pods so teenagers would stop eating them. This week, teenagers should determine gun policy.
And we shouldn’t base policy on the emotional reactions of freaked out victims.

Or, more to the point, the evil manipulating blood dancing leftist puppeteers who take advantage of the kids’ innocence, ignorance, and social media addiction to further their real agenda.

This has a disturbingly familiar and vaguely threatening refrain…
National Fraternal Order of Police’s President, Chuck Canterbury, condemned a shooting in Ohio that left two officers dead and called on the country to do something about the increasing number of officers killed. “When will our nation wake up and face that the steady increase of attacks on law enforcement is making all of us less safe,” Canterbury said. “Enough is enough!” Following the Maryland officer’s death, at least 15 officers across the U.S. have died while on duty — with 12 of those deaths caused by gunfire.

If crims aint very hesitant about attacking armed cops, then how hesitant are they going to be about attacking UN-armed citizens?
Plus, if people hate cops there’s only one group who can be blamed for that.

I’d listen to the kids about guns, just to hear something new and different from the anti-gun side, but instead of having any rational, fact-based policy the leftists are just reusing the same tired, debunked, untrue, illogical, emotion-based and rights-infringing collective punishment arguments that they have been using since around 1986.
The anti-rights bigots of the left have lost in the legislatures, in the courts, and in public opinion for several decades in a slow repudiation of their collectivist nonsense. Now they are trying to use a new generation that doesn’t know any of that history to spew the same old crap in the hopes it will stick this time.
I pity the useful idiot high schoolers, but I abhor their handlers.

Some see emotions and victimhood as a superior replacement for merit.
Therefore, a kid who couldn’t resist eating a Tide pod one week, has now graduated to emotional victimhood and thus gained the highest level of credibility attainable.
Now you see that it makes perfect sense. Never mind your knowledge, experience, years of study, your morals, or any wisdom that may come from them. Never mind any issues of human rights or why they matter; shut up, sit down, and let the most emotional victims dictate the rules. The time is NOW! (I’m listening to Donald Trump making this point as I type this).

These “useful idiots” of the left don’t realize yet, that when they are screaming for reactionary authoritarian measures against someone else’s rights, that “what goes around, comes around”.

Only the hand-picked “right” teens, the teens that won’t sing the anti-gun song are being sent to the end of the line.
Obviously they aren’t grieving right!

Huck, yes that goes without saying.
But my point about the language is the eerie similarity to grabber talk…
“do something, enough is enough, we’re all less safe, and the punchline, 12 of 15 deaths by gunfire.”
Straight outta the anti’s talking point playbook…and no doubt with the same agenda. LE has for many years mostly been on the 2A side or at least neutral. But this POS is head of a major LEO union. Worrisome.
