Speaking of “journalism”

The WaPo:

One in five Americans wants the Second Amendment to be repealed, national survey finds

Gee, what other way could that headline have been written? Maybe four out of five don’t?

One in five! Why, that’s practically a majority!

  2. Lyle Says:

That’s 20% who aren’t American then, or are un-American, or anti-American. So why are the here when there’s a big world outside the 50 states, where their authoritarian views would be welcome?

Answer; because a free America would stick in their collective craw, no matter where they are in the world, and they’d still feel compelled to do something about it.

9% of living Supreme Court justices are calling for it!

Sandra Day O’Connor: member of the Cowgirl Hall of Fame.
Stormy Daniels: member of the *Reverse* Cowgirl Hall of Fame. So near and yet so far; close, but no cigar.

Is glorious People’s Republic of Latvia have race with America. Latvian runner came in second. American runner finished next to last.

  5. Ravenwood Says:

Since when is freedom up for a vote? If 20% supported returning to the days of slavery, would we consider it?

  6. nk Says:

Consider that it’s a WaPo poll, and take out 7%-9% for bias. That’s the pattern with their pre-election polls, I’m not making it up. That would make the “actual” number around 12%. I’m putting “actual” in quotes because bias is not necessarily the only flaw in their methodology.

  7. Ron W Says:

@Ravenwood, well, in effect, they are for slavery:

“The possession of arms is the distinction between a freeman and a slave. He, who has nothing, and who himself belongs to another, must be defended by him, whose property he is, and needs no arms. But he, who thinks he is his own master, and has what he can call his own, ought to have arms to defend himself, and what he possesses; else he lives precariously, and at discretion.” –James Burgh, 1714-1775, English statesman (before England devolved into disarmed barbarism)

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
