More from Cali

On Cali’s colored guns:

Attorney Alan Gura, representing the plaintiffs in this case, noted that District bureaucrats “told Tracy Ambeau Hanson her gun was the wrong color.” Americans are not limited to a government list of approved books, or approved religions, he said. A handgun protected by the Second Amendment doesn’t need to appear on any government-approved list either.

“The Springfield XD-45 is approved for sale in Washington,” Gura noted, “so long as it is black, green, or brown, but her bi-tone version is supposedly ‘unsafe’.”

Added SAF founder Alan Gottlieb, “The Supreme Court’s decision is crystal clear: Handguns that are used by people for self-defense and other lawful purposes cannot be banned, whether the city likes it or not. The city needs to accept the Second Amendment reality and stop this nonsense.”

Hanson, one of the individual plaintiffs in the case, wondered, “Do we really need a gun-fashion police? I just want to be able to exercise my Second Amendment rights without interference from the District government.”

Only in the PRK can you find this type of inanity.

Only in the PRK must a firearms manufacturer submit 3 test guns for drop-testing and other destruction by a bureaucrat paid by an utterly bankrupt state in which English is a tertiary language.

Which is why some manufacturers don’t sell guns there.

It is just too expensive to send 3 stainless 1911s, 3 blue 1911s and 3 coated (actually 3 for each color scheme) 1911s, all having the same characteristics.

I would rather witness the use of lab animals for chemical testing than see some bureaucrat drop $1,000 1911s all day long.

I wish someone had the cash to take MASS to court on this one. . . They have two lists and if your handgun is not on both you can’t buy it here from an FFL. . . What a load of crap.. MA constantly restricts our pistol purchases here and no one had the time or cash to stop them. . . Why are these guns not safe to sell here but are ok in the Free World??

  3. Weer'd Beard Says:

+1 You can buy far more handguns in Cali as you can in Mass

Of course Cali has us beat with their ban on guns that look like assault rifles.

JD, all you have to do is ORGANIZE. Before the Calguns Foundation was founded, Calguns itself (the ‘net board) was already serving as a gathering place for rights-minded Californians to pool their intellects and their re$ource$ in mutual legal defense and in strategery to beat back what looked like unbeatable laws. AFAIK, you all in MA are just where Californians were ten years ago as far as organizing for effectiveness. Look at the Calguns board (www.calguns.net) and ask some of the “old-timers” how they got the ball rolling. Then do it yourself for your state! As Weer’d Beard said, your starting line is a bit ahead of ours.

On the bright side….once the District of Corruption gets its head handed to it on this color business it opens the door to a massive federal civil rights suit against California.

And, since Cali doesn’t have any money (little point in suing for it anyway, because it came from us in the first place), recompense for damages can be the immediate turning out of the legislators who voted for it and barring them from public office forever.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
