NFA Tax process
It starts. I want this:
To look more like this (note: crappy photoshop):
So, it’s time to begin the NFA process. I stopped by Coal Creek Armory yesterday to figure out where to start. And that start is go get fingerprinted on some government form at a police station (you know, like a criminal). And to also get two 2X2 passport photos of my noggin. I’ll do that next week.

Congrats. Don’t forget to do the “Certification Of Compliance” form. Sometimes the dealers forget. Jack.

I bought my AR-15 SBR directly from Bushmaster. Apparently if you have it done aftermarket, the SOT has to engrave a new serial number on the receiver when it’s registered. Mine has the factory serial registered, so no extra marks other than the ones Bushmaster put on there at the factory.
Overall the process took a year, but about 6 months of that was the backlog at Bushmaster, and another month was for my county’s Sheriff dragging his feet.
