Bigotry
Delaware State Police stopped a person from buying a gun because she was old and a woman. Funny because the Executive Director of the American Hunters and Shooters Association, Bob Ricker, has said that every young female who purchases guns legally should raise a red flag as being a criminal subject to federal prosecution and 10 years in prison. No young women. No older women. It’s like anti-gunners have trouble with women or something. That line of thinking got the ATF in trouble a few years ago.
Up next, no blacks or gays. Oddly, the local press calls this a glitch.
Also, funny story, it turns out the state police also had been keeping lists of gun buyers for years; state law requires them to destroy these records after 60 days. Oops.

Speaking of gov’t agencies keeping records too long… if there was a law saying that the FBI couldn’t keep a log of NICS queries, would you trust them?
Actually, considering the FBI’s computer upgrade problems, would you trust them even to know if their computer system has a log for the NICS?

Nice to know the Delaware State Police have records of every gun I’ve ever bought.
That gives me such a warm, fuzzy feeling….

Welcome to the state of things in Illinois, where the ISP has been illegally doing this for years and the .gov supports them.

When the gov can break the law, and claim a clerical error or a computer glitch, with no repercussions or accountability, what’s the point of setting limits at all?
