Race Wars
Via Jay, it looks like the lefty blogs are saying we’re buying guns because we’re racists. Shocking. They note our fears of a race war, which is odd because all the blathering about race and civil wars came didn’t come from us. That came from gun nuts like Fatimah Ali and washed up feminists. You see, we must be a certain way or else their world view doesn’t jive. That and the fact they really don’t seem to believe in markets.
In another bit of funny, all-around rube Oliver Willis puts his DoubleStuf stained fingers to work to refer to an entire geographical region as rubes. Which is funny because he’s the first to cry bigotry over, well, anything.

Wait a second, if it’s the early stages of preparing for a race war, why are black people openly participating alongside us?
Could it be that they suspect Obama/Pelosi/Reid will be grabbing everyone’s guns, not just those of the white man? Could it be they also want to empty out their wish list before the banhammer falls and jacks up the prices?

They have not figured out that we don’t trust our politicians to do anything right. We KNOW that they routinely lie, cheat and obfuscate. We KNOW that the libs will assault us with new and ingenious “reasonable commonsense” firearm restrictions / bans. We KNOW that they will assault us with “reasonable, commonsense” ammunition restriction / bans.
We KNOW that the 2nd amendment is NOT about hunting.
They’re afraid that the 2nd is not about hunting.
We’re just preparing for a long drought as the socialists take up all the water and freedom.

I want to go on record right now that I have absolutely no problem with race cars. Why, in my younger days, I not only raced cars, I owned several of…
oh wait…he said race wars…
never mind.
I can’t say as I’ve ever held any personal animosity against folk of a race different from myself. Unless, of course, ‘Politician’ is now considered a race. That’s different. I guess I should order a dozen more AR mags, since I can’t count on there being many left laying around as pickup mags by the time I get up to the skirmish lines.

I dunno I’m guessing they’re saying that because a significant segment of the gun owning population is, in fact, racist?
It doesn’t mean that they’re right when they say that it’s solely motivated by racism, obviously, but honestly with all the shit on gun boards about Obama being a Muslim, etc. I’m not surprised that people get this image of us.
