If the Nuge is onboard, then it sounds like it’s going forward.
I think the best protest sign would be a paper gun, like a paper AR slung over one’s shoulder. I understand that demonstrators are usually banned from having sticks attached to their signs because they might be used as weapons, but a slightly oversized, full-color, photographic, maybe with a white border, AR, Mini-14, MP-5 or AK paper cutout slung over the shoulder with a string should be legal. These could be sponsored by Ruger, Colt, S&W, H&K etc. They’d show up real good on TV too!
I still stand by my initial estimation that this is only going to end poorly, but at least there will be a celebrity there to act as a publicity lightning rod when it does.
This is the biggest disaster for the gun rights movement.
Can you imagine what the news reports on this train wreck are going to be like? You’re going to end up with
-no progress on the issue
-years worth of footage of fat rednecks wearing camo and looking scary
-scared white people
No Jim, your statement: “This is the biggest disaster for the gun rights movement.” is completely erroneous.
That should read “The election of Barack Obama and his appointment of Eric Holder as Attorney General with the House and Senate in firm control of the Democrats is the biggest disaster for the gun rights movement.”
Thanks, no charge.
BTW, I hear rednecks come in a scrawny version too. Any other bigotry you’d like to add to your statement?

Why does 2010 seem like a long, long way off at the moment?

Well, that is pretty shiny.
I still stand by my initial estimation that this is only going to end poorly, but at least there will be a celebrity there to act as a publicity lightning rod when it does.

I want to scare a whole bunch of white people. They have been unafraid too damn long.

at least with the camo the media will have no pictures to run, not that they would anyway. Right?
