Well, duh!
Seems like Rachel Corrie’s untimely demise was no one’s fault but her own. Or perhaps her zeal.
Don’t get me wrong, her death was sad. But she’s not the martyr you’re looking for.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.

I really don’t think she was the martyr anyone was looking for, unless they were so far to the left the fell off the bed.

“Military police talked to the dozer driver and looked at video tape and declared the accident the victims fault.”
Say Uncle finds this worthy of blaming the victim and Barry 1 makes some comment about those who consider Rachel a person of conscience to be remembered: as so far left they can’t stay on the bed.
I guess that just about sums it up.
The Israeli military surely would give Rachel a full hearing (as Amish Tech Support says in their take) “from Hell.”
Can’t let the dead rest without comment can you guys.
There are plenty of folks that think Rachel was a brave idealist fool. She can’t hurt you anymore so why pick on her.
Amish Tech Support sux big time.

Barry B, you’ve obviously missed all the hubbub about her supposed victimization. Now an investigation has stated that it is her own actions that caused her unfortunate demise. That’s all I meant. You know what they say about assumption. It makes and ass of you and umption.

Since I assumed nothing your ‘ass’ comment does not apply so no apology is requested or required.
Of course I saw and heard the hubbub and as indicated I still find your comment and Barry’s concurrence ill advised. You may call the military statement an ‘investigation’. I do not anymore than I find the military in Iraq’s statements about the skinny 12 year old twin they shot and killed last night credible.
Rachel Corre lost her life by putting her body between a bulldozer and it’s target. She died for what she believed in. Go ahead and comment it makes you look petty and foolish. Is that what an “ass” is?

So, apparently you didn’t catch my meaning about assumption. I made simple statements alluding to:
Her death was sad.
Her death has discovered to be her own fault.
And that her death did not particularly warrant martyrdom status.
Then you accuse me of blaming the victim (which i didn’t). I linked to a report on an investigation into her death that ruled she could have prevented it.
