The teenage kids who shot into the interstate and killed one man will not be tried as adults. Good thing they’re not Snipers.
Two things about this situation are curious:
1) The police had the boys in custody for 24 hours before letting the public know, which could have lead to some sniper hysteria.
2) The police, to my knowledge, haven’t alluded to where the kids got the guns. I’m thinking from the parents and wonder if a case is being built against the parents or whoever may have let them have access to the guns.
Update: More here.

I had a .22 when I was that age. At any rate, it seems kind of unfair that the worst that can happen is they stay in juvie until they are 19. Think they’ll be rehabilitated?

I did too but i also knew not to shoot at passing cars.
Well, they’re as likely to be rehabilitated as anyone else in Juvie. Back when I worked at a juvie prison, we had this internal study about recitivism. If you took into account former students who where back in custody, died, or were in the adult system, it accounted for roughly 80% of former students.
Not good odds.
