Enumerated Powers
Robert Prather comments on the Enumerated Powers act. I find this to be a grand idea:
It has absolutely no chance of passing whatsoever, in my opinion. Why? Because it limits the power of our congress critters and they’re not keen on that idea.

This keeps getting introduced every year, but never seems to make it out of sub-sub-committee. Even if it did, you’d be amazed at some of the convoluted logic that a lawyer-turned-politician can use to justify things. The interstate-commerce clause has been so twisted out of shape that it would be unrecognizable to Jefferson or Madison.

While I agree with you, it is always nice to throw one more hurdle into our beloved representatives path.
