Ok
I haven’t been on the Knoxville interstate in a while, until today. I noticed signs on the road that read Aggressive Driving Enforcement Campaign. I suppose our local police are cracking down on aggressive drivers. However, the drivers in Knoxville wouldn’t drive so aggressively if they could actually get from one end of town to the other.
Bredesen, what happened to your promise of cleaning this road construction nightmare?

I noticed those, too, and was going to comment on the wording.
Aggressive Driving Enforcement Campaign…doesn’t that sound like they’re wanting you to drive aggressively, and will enforce it, too?

I typed this before I read Barry’s comment:
Perhaps they are enforcing agressive driving whereas you interpreted it as curbing the agressive driving?

I dunno. I had the same thought based on wording but enforcing aggressive driving seems, well, not in line with police work.

Everything I’ve ever heard recommends defensive driving techniques – i.e. reacting to situations around you, not causing situations.
Maybe the rules have changed…

I’m afraid once all the construction mess got started, there’s no real “fixing it” until some of the projects are finished
