A well-qualified judicial nominee withdraws his name. He gives up.
The precedent is now set. Any other qualifed candidates will have to go through the same horse and pony show.

I saw your earlier comments on SKBubba. It would be funny to see how pissed they would get if the roles were reversed and he was a DEM wouldnt it?

Why are the parties incapable of nominating qualified judges with broad appeal instead of ideologs or people so green they have no record?

Isn’t this already a given that judicial nominees go through this kind of bullshit no matter who nominates them? There were also a lot of Clinton appointees that ended up having to withdraw because they couldn’t get a vote on the Senate floor. The whole system could use an overhaul.
