Oh, those weapons of mass destruction
Per this:
Kuwaiti security authorities have foiled an attempt to smuggle $60 million worth of chemical weapons and biological warheads from Iraq to an unnamed European country, a Kuwaiti newspaper said on Wednesday.
The pro-Government Al-Siyassah, quoting an unnamed security source, said the suspects had been watched by security since they arrived in Kuwait and were arrested “in due time.” It did not say when or how the smugglers entered Kuwait or when they were arrested. The paper said the smugglers might have had accomplices inside Kuwait. It said Interior Minister Sheik Nawwaf Al Ahmed Al Sabah would hand over the smuggled weapons to an FBI agent at a news conference, but did not say when.
What I really want to know is: Which unnamed European country?
Oh, and Lil’ Kim is making A-Bombs.

I posted this also but I do think some time needs to pass to let things shake out a little before we jump on this as proof of WMDs in Iraq.
I am sure there will soon be a chorus of voices claiming this to be a Bush / Kuwaiti conspiracy to ensure a second term as well as keep the threat of a torked off Iraq from Kuwait.

I agree we need to wait. I am also disappointed it’s not getting more airplay. If it was getting airplay, people would be more inclined to investigate it.

I am too. I first heard about it at the end of Sean Hannity’s show. He announced it was a breaking story but went to commercial and didn’t mention it afterwards. I went home expecting it to be all over the news but didn’t find one news outlet mentioning or scrolling it. It wasn’t until I seen the link on LFG that I even saw an Online news source mention it.

Rick I wondered the same thing and how exactly do you put a price on WMDs? I mean is there a pricing schedule for WMDs somewhere that we are not aware of?
