In a similar incident to Spoons’ story, my dad sent George Bush 1 an invitation to my high school graduation. I received a fancy envelope from the White House, with a fancy letter inside. It read (paraphrased): Regretfully, the President can not attend your wedding.

I read the first sentence and rolled my eyes. After the latest smear of Rhonda Miller being bought wholesale by bloggers who didn’t have a proper source, much less double sources, I think blogging has a long, long way to go before it’s more “honest” than traditional media.

I agree. However, with bloggers you usually know right up front what their political slant is. This is not the case with most media.
