Never mind the tired attempt to justify Iraq being a threat, and never mind the juvenile “the UN says so” line of argument (“Gee, all those durn lie-berals worship the UN! I know! I will cleverly make it seem as if the UN approved of the war! Those silly lie-berals won’t have a leg to stand on!”), and even never mind the lack of reading comprehension that leads him to state that Iraq had a significant chemical and nuclear weapons program. No, what’s really striking is this:
If his english teacher could read that sentence in his presence, I am sure the teacher would take a thesaurus and beat him about the head and shoulders with it.

I would add, from my personal perspective, that the justifications that were sold to the UN and the justifications that were sold to the American people were quite different, and that the latter justifications were almost entirely bogus. We don’t want the smoking gun to be a mushroom cloud, remember? And yet we remain remarkably inactive against North Korea and Iran, who are self-admittedly much closer to having that smoking gun available to them.
