BCS BS
UT comes in sixth in the AP poll but get a crappy bowl game. I am a CPA, with a Masters in Informations Systems and I can’t figure out how the BCS works.
I honestly think UT should refuse to play in the bowl.

It said in the Sentinel that the Peach Bowl was the 5th SEC game in prestige..I count:
1) Sugar (SEC tie-in and National Title game)
2) Capital One (Citrus)
3) Hall of Fame
4) ?
5) Peach
Am I missing one? Or is it just the general BCS at-large invitation that they’re talking about?
I do think it’s an insult to the progress this team made over last year’s that they’re playing in the same bowl. Against an unranked Clemson, no less. Last year’s team was an embarassing mess – I know, I was at the Peach Bowl and watched in horrified amazement at the JV team that showed up – and to reward this year’s team that improved so much by sending them back to the same place is….sad. I feel bad for Casey and the seniors.

Tough break, for sure.
Don’t sell the Peach short, though. It’s usually well run, and there are much worse places than Atlanta to go bowling. Be glad you ain’t headed to the Humanitarian Bowl. Blue turf, bad weather, Boise Idaho. Nuff said.

Barry,
I guess part of it is in how you define “prestige,” but the Cotton Bowl also made it’s choice before the Peach bowl.

Ah, I left out Cotton I guess. Thanks.
