Democratic Strategies Dwindling
The economy is horrible!
He hasn’t captured Hussein!
He hasn’t captured Bin Laden!
AP:
Without firing a shot, American forces captured a bearded and haggard-looking Saddam Hussein in an underground hide-out on a farm near his hometown of Tikrit, ending one of the most intensive manhunts in history. The arrest was a huge victory for U.S. forces battling an insurgency by the ousted dictator’s followers.
“Ladies and gentlemen, we got him,” U.S. administrator L. Paul Bremer told a news conference Sunday, eight months after American troops swept into Baghdad and toppled Saddam’s regime.
“The tyrant is a prisoner.”
Good news.

Oh, and you also forgot to put “We haven’t captured Mullah Omar” on the list. π

And I have lots of other reasons to think Bush is the worst president of my lifetime π

Saddam Captured
SayUncle’s take on what this means for the Democrats. I’d add a couple of claims to his list (“There were no WMDs!” and “Saddam wasn’t liked to Al Qaeda!”) that may be proven wrong before the 2004 election. (They’ve arguably…

Bush Responds to Kerry Criticism
Every presidential candidate used the capture of Saddam Hussein to make a political statement. John Kerry’s official statement on the capture reads (in full): This is a great day for U.S. forces, the Iraqi people, and the world. Capturing Saddam Hussei…
