Some truth to it
I’m not a big fan of Ann Coulter but, via Guy Montag, she writes about When Blue States Attack and opines that the red states leave the blue states alone but the blue states keep sending their lawyers to the red states.
Of course, I think we red states should just invade the blue ones. Heck, we have all the guns.

Yes, because God knows the red states never try to outlaw, say, abortions, in the blue states, or to impose their interpretation of the second amendment in the blue states, or try to erect religious monuments at taxpayer expense in blue states. No, these things never happen. Only the evil commie liberals would ever try to impose their views on others.
Give me a break, Uncle, you’re smarter than that.
Ann Coulter always has been, and always will be a complete hack, in addition to being an idiot. Never mind the fact that she takes the super-simplisitic view that the “blue states” are overwhelmingly blue and that the “red states” are overwhelmingly red. Never mind the fact that she trots out the same tired-ass “justifications” for, and defenses of, Commandments monuments that have been repeatedly trounced (including her insistence that all three major religions still purport to follow the Ten Commandments, despite all evidence to the contrary). The biggest thing she ignores is the tendency of religious conservatives to try to force their beliefs onto others everywhere, at every opportunity.
Coulter on the Right is like Michael Moore on the Left, except far, far worse.

Well, we’ve seen the blue state lawyers come down and rid red states of their religious monuments. I haven’t seen any press coverage of the reverse.
Ann Coulter is an ideologue, no argument there. And the red/blue state thing is an oversimplification.
The biggest thing she ignores is the tendency of religious conservatives to try to force their beliefs onto others everywhere, at every opportunity
Seems to be a problem for ideologues on both sides, they just pick who they ignore and give coverage to.

Your view is still oversimplistic. Let’s use Alabama as an example. The monument there was specifically placed to attract such a fight, and the complaint was brought by residents of Alabama. I fail to see how this constitutes “blue states sending their lawyers” down to the “red states” to impose anything on anybody. I challenge you to find a single case of a blue state attacking a red state’s monument without a local complaintant.
I don’t see any significant press coverage of the fact that every session, somebody in Congress tries to pass a “Christian Nation” amendment to the constitution, either. If that’s not red trying to impose on blue, then I don’t know what is.

Nor do you mention the fact that COngress – dominatred by the Red States Republicans – has passed bills imposing on the Blue States WEAKER consumer protections than the blue states have decided for themselves. or that the red State Republicans in the Administration have decided for Oregon that assisted suicide needs to be outloawed, and for Californians that medical marijunna should not be allowed, and for many, many blue states that the death penaty should be imposed, whatever the hell they want, and are trying to tell the Blue Sttae of Massachusettes that it cannot have Gay Marriage.
When it comes to imposing views, mate, Red State conservatives win hands down.

When it comes to imposing views, statists on the right, left and center win hands down. True friends of liberty keep their mitts off. This is hard because once you have your hands on the levers of power it is very tempting to pull it.

Wince

“Yes, because God knows the red states never try to outlaw, say, abortions, in the blue states”
tgirsch’s attempt at irony is actually ironic.. the red states DON’T try to outlaw abortions in blue states.. they simply want to take control out of the federal government’s hands and put it back where it belongs.. in the hands of the individual states.. there is no mention of abortion in the Constitution.. who gave the SCOTUM the right to impose their pro-abortion views on states?
and there is a huge difference between Coulter and Moore.. Coulter backs up her ‘facts’ with actual facts.. whereas Moore edits the hell out of his interviews, taking statements out of context.. sorry, but that’s not a documentary.. that’s propaganda
