Iraq’s Interim Constitution
From here, although I’m sure it’s available elsewhere:
Article 17.
It shall not be permitted to possess, bear, buy, or sell arms except on licensure issued in accordance with the law.
This is one reason I would fear a movement for a Constitutional Convention in this country.
UPDATE: Here is the official (I guess) site:

The will of the people is the cornerstone of democracy.

That’s why I want liberty instead of democracy, as did our Founders.

Yeah, that part of the Iraqi constitution bugs me, too. We’re establishing a democracy in one of the most violent parts of the world, and potentially depriving it of personal arms.

Good job finding that, I had been searching for it for a while. Of course, all those Iraqis already have one AK47 per house any way.

Actually Barry, the will of the people is not the cornerstone of modern democracy. Liberty is. That’s why we have the luxury of debating gay marriage. If it were the will of the people, it wouldn’t be an issue because most people oppose it.

Damn. I knew something was amiss when FoxNews’s summary didn’t say anything about the RKBA. It didn’t occur to me that they’d go all the way to the other extreme and make it unconstitutional for individuals to own guns without government permission.
By way of comparison, the only things a private citizen can do in the US that violate the Constitution are owning slaves and importing liquor into dry states (if any still exist).
