Ok, up and running
I’m back. A few notes:
Yes, I got your email. No, I haven’t read it yet.
Busy unpacking.
My dog is suffering depression as a result of the move. He has moped for the last 24 hours with his tail down and ears back. He’s quite pathetic, really. No amount of pork rinds seems to help.
Your regularly scheduled programming will resume Monday.
Quite odd but I have not followed anything in the news for about 3 days and I don’t miss it. Odd, indeed.

Glad to see you’re getting settled in! I’m not picking up much slack, I’m afraid.

Uncle:

I don’t really think it’s that odd at all. I find that I’m happier when I don’t follow the news.
Are you now closer to, or farther from, Townsend?

Thib, you did a fine job keeping it going.
Tom, I am closer to townsend. But not by that much.

Tom: you’re in Townsend? Melissa and I were in Townsend this weekend for a ride through the mountains. Do you hike?

Les:
No, I’m not in Townsend. But my wife and I vacation in the Smoky Mountain area at least once a year, and Uncle once told me that he lived “near Townsend,” and that next time in the area, I should look him up.
When I heard he was moving, I wondered in which direction, is all.

Tom: I’ll shoot you an email. There are some good short hikes in Townsend I think you’d enjoy. Or maybe I’ll blog it.
