I am starting to think our local media actively seeks any story that involves church or God then repeatedly does stories on it. Seriously.

If there existed secular organizations that provided the sense of community, the common moral instruction, the common moral instruction, the general psychological well-being of the group, and simultaneously provided aid to the needy, then religion would rapidly become extinct.
It seems that religious groups, for whatever reasons, do a far better job than secular groups on most of these scores. As a secularist, I say this by way of self-censure.
