The Friends finale sucked. It was an hour of short snips from the past followed by just about the most predictable ending ever. It’s like they put every Ross/Rachel cliché in one episode. Quite disappointing.

Larry David’s rule for Seinfeld was “no hugging, no learning.” The rule on Friends was “lots of hugging, still no learning.”
The show had some funny episodes, but the characters only evolved in the most shallow ways possible.
And yeah, the finale was lame.

I stopped watching the show years ago. Short of pulling a Seinfeld, there’s not much last night’s show could have done that would have disappointed me.

I was watching the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition thingie and it, too, sucked. It just doesn’t translate all that well to a NYC apartment…
